Έτοιμο το τουρκικό TCG Anadolu, σε άσκηση με αμερικανικό αεροπλανοφόρο

Στα… βαθιά έχει βγάλει η Άγκυρα το ελικοπτεροφόρο TCG Anadolu, καθώς στις 21 Αυγούστου μετείχει και σε άσκηση στη Μεσόγειο με το αμερικανικό αεροπλανοφόρο USS Gerald R. Ford, το νεότερο των ΗΠΑ. Συνοδεία μάλιστα ήταν οι (παλαιές) τουρκικές φρεγάτες TCG Gediz και TCG Goksu, κλάσης Ο.Η.Perry.

Για την Τουρκία τέτοιες εμφανίσεις και δράσεις είναι σημαντικές, καθώς στοχεύει να παρουσιάσει το Anadolu ως “μεγάλο ναυτικό στοιχείο” που μπορεί να μετέχει σε υψηλών προδιαγραφών αποστολές του ΝΑΤΟ, και στη Μεσόγειο αλλά και στην Ερυθρά Θάλασσα και γιατί όχι στον κοντινό Ινδικό.

Στις φωτογραφίες διακρίνονται στο κατάστρωμα του Anadolu δύο επιθετικά ελικόπτερα ΑΗ-1W Super Cobra (συνολικά 10 έχουν μεταφερθεί στο Τουρκικό Ναυτικό από τον Στρατό Ξηράς), όπως και 2 ελικόπτερα Sikorsky S-70 Seahawk.
